We hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving! We wanted to take a moment to share 3 things we’re giving thanks for this year:

- We celebrated our 10 year anniversary in May! It’s a shocking statistic that 80% of fitness businesses don’t make it past the first year. We’ve been feeling pretty proud of all we’ve accomplished, especially having overcome some big obstacles with the pandemic, and the flood to our space 2 years ago. There has been a lot of hard work, staying true to our vision, and innovation that we are responsible for, but we owe thanks to so many people! Thank you to our family, friends, team, current and past members, mentors and teachers, and colleagues. When we say we are grateful for 10 years in business, what we really mean is we are grateful for YOU!
- We’ve been “learning and improving everyday” – one of our Core Values. It is of the utmost importance to us to give our members the best knowledge we can for building and maintaining strength, mobility and overall health. We all have limited time to spend on training each week, so we want to make sure we prioritize things that will give us the “biggest bang for our buck.” We invested heavily (both in time and finances) in Functional Range Conditioning education this year to bring the best possible joint health, strength and mobility system to our community. We are so grateful to have found this education, to have our team jump onboard wholeheartedly, and to have our members eager to learn this cool new stuff. And we are thankful for the results we are seeing for our members, and ourselves! On a personal note, we completed the most challenging hike we have ever done at the beginning of last month – 15 miles, almost 5,000 feet of elevation gain, and a boulder scramble. Life got in the way of us getting the trail miles in we should have done to prepare, and we had to rely on just the training we had done in the gym. We were wiped out by the end, and thought for sure we would be in rough shape the next day. We were able to do some easy “recovery” miles the next day with no problems – a big testament to the training methods we utilize!
- Our community is everything! This past year we have noticed more than ever how our Breakthrough family shows up for each other. They check in with each other in training sessions. They cheer each other on, and encourage each other to reach for new accomplishments. They help us support charitable organizations. They celebrate holidays and milestones together. They welcome new people. They bring their best energy when they walk through the door because they know it’s not just about receiving positive energy, but giving as well. We will never stop being grateful for the trust they place in us, and for being able to celebrate their strength.
If you are reading this, it means you have been part of our journey in some way, and for that we are grateful.
Strength and love from Breakthrough’s Co-Owners,
Kati and Caleb
